□ 시장규모

 

 ○ 호주 요식업계는 지난 20년간 괄목할 만한 성장을 이뤄왔으며, 다른 선진국 요식업계에 비해 여전히 유망한 분야로 평가되고 있음.

  - 특히 요식업계 경기는 관광객 유입에 크게 좌우되는데, 2007년 호주 방문객은 전년대비 2% 증가한 560만 명으로 호주 전체 인구의 1/4를 넘어서는 수준임.

  - 단, 2008년 7~8월경까지 호주화가 큰 강세를 보여, 관광객 수 및 지출 규모가 위축된 것으로 추정되며, 이후 전 세계적 금융위기에 따른 관광 수요 둔화가 예상되고 있음.

 

 ○ 호주 요식업계 시장규모는 연간 330억 달러로 추정되며, 2012년까지 연평균 6.8%의 성장을 기록할 것으로 전망됨.

  - 요식업용 장비 시장 성장률은 연간 3%대로 예상됨.

 

□ 시장 수요

 

 ○ 최신 기술과 디자인이 적용된 요식업용 장비에 대한 수요는 여전히 높은 수준이며, 소비자(상업 부문과 기관 부문으로 나눌 수 있음)들은 성능이 우수하고 부품 교환이 용이하며 신속한 음식 공급이 가능한 장비를 지속적으로 찾고 있음.

  - 이는 바꿔 말하면 원활하지 않은 사후 서비스, 장비류 인도 기간의 장기화는 이 시장에서 실패와 직결됨을 의미함.

□ 잠재 바이어

 

 ○ 요식업 장비류 시장의 주요 바이어는 크게 식당, 호텔, 패스트푸드점, 케이터링 업체 등을 포함하는 ‘상업부문’과 요양소, 복지시설, 학교 등을 포함하는 ‘기관부문’으로 나눌 수 있음.

 ○ 전기 규격 : 240volts, 50cycles. 3-pin/flat-pin type 소켓

 

 ○ 품질 인증 : 호주로 수입되는 공산품은 대부분 Australian Standard를 취득해야 함. CE마크 등은 AS를 쉽게 취득하기 위한 조건은 될 수 있으나, 바로 AS로 전환되는 것은 아님. 이 인증을 담당하는 기관은 다음과 같음.
