 ○ There was a ice-skating rink built inside a shopping mall named Kompleks Asia City which located at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah has been closed down in year 2012. This is due to there weren’t many customer caused the business dropped. It’s also very difficult to obtain the service and maintenance for the facilities such as skate board and roller. It is very hard to get the parts of the roller skates. According to Ms Karen, the marketing & promotion assitant, they imported the facilities from Germany. There is no company in Malaysia which providing the maintenance of ice skating rink facilities.

 ○ Another ice skating rink was built in The Mines Shopping mall but it had been closed down as well around 8 years ago. The reason is unknown as the ice skating was managed by the previous company named Country Height Sdn Bhd.
