2. Information About Distribution

 

□ Regarding to household water pumps, there are so many foreign manufacturers and local manufacturers in local market now as below:

 

 ○ Local manufacturers: Sena Group (http://sena.vn), Dynamic Pump (www.bomdongluc.com), Mitsuky (www.mitsuky.vn), Nation Pump (http://nationpump.com.vn), Thien Phuc (www.hpmc.com.vn), Hai Duong Pump (www.hpmc.com.vn)…

 

 ○ Foreign manufacturers: Taiwan (APP, Teco, Walrus, HCP Pump, THT), Korea (Hanil, Wilo, Shinil), Indonesia (Panasonic), Italy (DAB, Pedrollo, Pentax, Sealand, Ebara, Matra), China (LEO), Japan (Shimizu, Tsurumi), Thailand (Venz), Spain (Fiberpool)…

 

□ With the wide range of supplying sources, the price is very important factor for local dealer to consider. According to some local dealers who have experience in this field, household water pumps of Taiwan and Indonesia are the best players in local market thanks to its good quality and its competitive price.

 

□ Besides, according to Mr. Hoang Xuan Niem – Director of San Ha Trading Co., Ltd (www.valves-pumps.com.vn) who has experience in dealing with household water pump. Water pump of China is very cheap price due to it’s imported through unofficial way, especially through the border trade in the North with China that without import barrier while the import tariff for water pump by official way is 20% and ATIGA is 5→10%. So, China is also a tough competitor for other suppliers.

 ○ The VAT rate of 10% is applied for commodities under HS Code 8413.70 according to the Export-Import Tariff and Value Added Tax on Imports.

 

 

4. Import Policy

 

 ○ Following is the import export statistic figures of commodities under HS Code 8413.70 for reference. It should be noticed that the statistic figures on import-export merchandise is done rather slowly by the Custom Office. For now, only statistic figures till the year 2011 is the most updated one. The figures for 2012 are expected to be released in the middle of 2014. It should be also mentioned that in case the import-export value is too small, they will not be listed in the Custom Yearbook.
